What you project on the dating scene is what you’re going to get back. For instance, I’m naturally inclined to be compassionate and kind, perhaps too nice at times. Do you know who I’ve often attracted? The ‘lost puppy’ type. The guy who has been so mistreated, either in his family life or romantic past, that any kindness shown is greeted with a desire to cling on forever.

Another period in my dating life I projected a different me; a player, ice princess type…Who did I attract? Asshole players…This would have been fine if I was keen on keeping up pretenses and playing along, but needless to say that lifestyle, though fun and exciting, is also exhausting and draining…

Bottom line is: you’re going to attract what you project. So dress to impress, but don’t be surprised when your short skirt attracts nothing but a short dick with a big ego…

For anyone unfamiliar with ‘red flags,’ these are basically signs that you pick up on, consciously or not, that there’s something wrong with a person. For our purposes, something wrong with a person you’re romantically interested in.

I have definitely been on a date and picked up on red flags. Yet, I ignored them and eventually had to learn the hard way why you should never disregard them (I’ll tell this story later).

If you have a bad feeling about a guy upon your first meeting, first date, first kiss, whatever…just walk away…Do you really want to stick around to find out what those red flags are?
